The Firefly Room is for children from about 4 to 5 years of age.  The Firefly Room is excited to continue your child’s learning and play development.  In this room, the children focus on building learning opportunities as they play and have fun.  We love to go with the flow of the day and see where the learning takes us!

During this first middle of preschool life, we use our nature-based curriculum for a fun-filled day of learning.  We love to experience art, stories, math, science, and most of all play!

We go outside to play and learn as much as possible.  We will use our outdoor classroom to not only get exercise and have fun but explore nature hands-on.  We will get dirty while we play… but that just means we are truly having a good time.  We recommend rubber boots for the spring and fall, croc-like shoes for the summer, and good snow boots for the winter months.

• Provide educational areas of language, science, math, art, music, dramatic play, and both large and small muscle activities – These learning activities and experiences give opportunities for children to share and give them a feeling of accomplishment
