Jenn Jacobsen – Hoppers
Hello! My name is Jenn Jacobsen and I am the lead teacher for the Hopper Room. I am so excited to get to know your children and family. I graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from UW-Stout. My husband and I currently live in Stillwater, MN with our son, Eli, and our daughter, Robin. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy crafting, coaching, blogging, and reading. Working with children is a passion of mine, especially little ones! I’m looking forward to providing a safe and welcoming environment for your children, and watching them grow here at Little Beginnings!
Michelle Docktor – Hoppers
Hello, My name is Michelle. I have been working with children for as long as I can remember. I took a short break from childcare when I obtained my cosmetology license and spent five years doing kids hair. I am so excited to be back working with children and am extremely grateful to be a part of the Little Beginnings team.
I live in Cannon Falls, where I spend the majority of my time working out, cooking, or being with my family and sweet dog Lulu Mae. I also love to be outside, especially during the warmer months.
Liz Nemo – Ladybugs
Hello! My name is Liz Nemo, and I am so excited to be a part of the Little Beginnings team. After six years as a hairstylist, I decided to follow my passion of teaching. I am currently a student at Rasmussen College and am working towards my degree in early child development. My boyfriend, Josh, and I live in Hastings and have a son, Michael (2016), and a daughter, Charlotte (2019). In our free time we like to go hiking, fishing, swimming, and rock picking (one of Mikey’s favorites). We especially like to spend time at our cabin up in Cotton, MN with all of our family! I am a very family oriented person and am thankful to have the opportunity to get to know you and your children!
Blake Nelson – Ladybugs
My name is Blake Nelson and I am teacher qualified and have worked in many classrooms at LBLC but am currently part of the toddler and school age team. I’ve been working here since the fall of 2010. I want to take the time to thank all of you for letting me play such an important role in your child’s lives! I am currently attending school in Minneapolis with the final goal of an elementary education teacher. Working with children has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, outdoor activities, and spending time with my many animals at home! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me!
Pimm Oesterrich – Both Rooms
Hello, My name is Pimm and I am from Bangkok Thailand. I moved to Hastings in January, 2015. From 95 degrees to -14 was a big change when I arrived! It takes 24 hours to travel to my country and Thailand is 12 hours ahead from USA. Not too far. My husband is retired from Military and now works at Ardent Mills (ConAgra).
When I lived in Thailand, I worked in an advertising agency for fourteen years. I created tv programs, stage shows, concerts, and more. In 2004 I gave up that job to go back to college to study fine arts. I decided to spend my time teaching arts and crafts to children in my own business and volunteer in poor schools. Little Beginnings was the first place I applied to work at in Minnesota. I really love my job here. I am still learning English (taking ESL classes) and American Sign Language. I have interest in special education and plan to study that in the future. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, painting, making leather crafts, and learning fine arts. The world is a wonderful place and brought me to meet your children at Little Beginnings. We learn together every day. Thank you parents for giving me the big opportunity to work with your kids. We are building great relationships and growing together.

Welcome To Our Classes!
We are so excited to be able to be a part of your child’s life as you experience the beginnings of toddlerhood! Your child will grow and learn so much during this time. We can’t wait to learn and explore right alongside your family. We are here to help guide and teach skills that will help lay a solid foundation for years to come.
Schedules
In the Toddler Rooms, we learn literacy, social studies, science, math, and music… all tailored for the use of our toddlers. We usually have two short group times, during which we read a story, sing songs, and do short activities based on the day. All of the ideas we talk about are reinforced through hands on activities or projects throughout the day. Most of all, we learn through play!
Some special days in this room include Bible Time, Nature Room, and Movie Day.
Potty Time
Toddlers have the big and exciting job of learning to use the toilet and we are excited to help! Whether you want to use pull-ups or go straight to underwear, we are here to work together for the best success for your child.
Some Signs Of Readiness:
*Staying dry for longer periods of time
*Telling you that they are wet or soiled their diaper
*Successfully going on the toilet more often
*Asking to go
